Branches throughout Dorset

and providing mobility services  at major events in the UK.

Registered Charity Number 1015680

"Wheels for Freedom" is a charity dedicated to giving freedom of movement by loaning mobility scooters, power-chairs and manual wheelchairs to any person who has difficulty walking.

We operate in six Dorset towns and members of our charity  have unlimited use of our scooters, wherever they live.  Day visitors are also very welcome to use any of our services.

Poole Shopmobility was established in 1993.  We later changed our name to "Wheels for Freedom" because we felt that the name Shopmobility implied that the scooters could only be used for shopping.

"Wheels for Freedom" are what we loan.  The freedom for our users to visit shops, enjoy days out and take part in activities that without our mobility they could not do.

We improve the quality of life for those with limited walking ability by providing the mobility they need.

If you would like to talk to one of our team to find out more about what we do and to see if we can assist you or a loved one, please phone 01202 661770  10am-3.45pm Monday to Saturday

We are here to help.

We send sincere thanks to

Help the Aged (Dorset)

For helping us with the purchase of two new scooters (pictured either side).  The first one is a 3 wheel Rascal 600T which is capable of carrying a person of up to 32 stone and the second is a 4 wheel Rascal 388 which is very popular with shoppers.  These two scooters will be used on the Mobile Units covering Dorset towns.

Sincere thanks also go to the

Christchurch Arthritis support Group

for their kind donation of  6 new Shoprider Sovereign 4 wheel mobility scooters.

These scooters will also be used on our Mobile Units.

"Wheels for Freedom" relies heavily on donations to help provide the town centre services that our relied on by so many.

If you have an electric scooter, power-chair or wheelchair that you no longer require, or even a monetary donation, we would be delighted to hear from you - just ask for Ross or Carole in the Poole office who will be delighted to discuss it with you.
